During a recent visit to San Francisco, we visited Haight-Ashbury – something I would recommend to anyone and everyone whether you are a Baby Boomer or not! As we walked along Ashbury toward one of the former residences of Janis Joplin, we came upon a pair of white sandals. Just there. All alone. Sitting. Resting.  Waiting. Minding their business. I took a photo. What wonderful fodder for a blog post, I thought, which led me to thinking about the steps we take in life, be they in white sandals or in Berluti’s.
