Once again, I am watching The Voice. I absolutely love this program. If you are a job seeker, I would encourage you to tune in – I don’t know exactly what you will learn, but I learn something each and every week from Adam, Blake, CeeLo, Christina and the contestants. If are a job seeker and think that the show is of no value to you, please reconsider your position. Whether you are a contender on The Voice or a candidate for a job...
~ You will be in or out depending upon the performance you deliver when it’s your turn.
~ You will have a limited amount of time to prove that you have what it takes to win the job.
~You will be evaluated based upon what you say and how you say it – each and every word (and note) matters.
~ You get to show the world that there is no one like you.
~ You own the moment – a chance to give it your all and give it your best.
~ You compete knowing that there are no do-overs that day.
~ You will either be well prepared or poorly prepared and decision-makers will respond accordingly.
~ If you sound like everybody else, your candidacy will be compromised.
~ If your anxiousness and nervousness overshadow your presentation, it will be noticed.
~ And in the beginning, and in the end, you either bring it, or you don’t.
As a job seeker, my hope for you is that your performance will consistently produce a four-chair turn!
