The successful candidate will lead a high school of 550 students and 75 staff members including an Associate Principal. Starting date is July 1, 2011. The district is seeking candidates who can provide instructional leadership with an emphasis on standards-based instruction, assessment, and reporting. An ability to develop successful and positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community is an integral responsibility of this position. Just a few examples of these activities would include: athletics, forensics, Future Farmers of America, Health Occupations Students of America, Student Council, Knowledge Master, Future Business Leaders of America, and Distributive Education Club of America. The district recently had a National Merit Scholarship Winner, state championship dance team, state championship Spanish Forensics Team, and qualifiers for competition at the national level in the areas of HOSA and DECA. Quality education of this kind does not occur without strong community support. The district completed a $15 million dollar building project that resulted in a new High School and remodeled facilities throughout the area.
