In an attempt to better attract the attentions of skilled foreign workers, the province announced Friday the launch of five foreign-language micro-sites on the WelcomeBC.ca website - "the one-stop source for people considering moving to B.C. and for those who have recently arrived," according to a media release.
Translated in Korean, Punjabi, Spanish, French and Chinese, the new micro-sites (the first of their kind in Canada, the government says) are formatted "to best serve prospective and recent immigrants."
For example, the Korean micro-site is more text-heavy than a typical North American site and uses a mixture of South Korean text and English pronouns.
