job seeker allowance and other property?
HI All,my friend having a huge and serious problem as his job seeker allowance has been refused due to have a self build land ,he bough the land by a secure loan over his own home a few years ago and then remortgage his own home to rise money to obtain all necessary planing now the land worth 60k and the mortgage is 35k also the land is not rented and no other income ,he is married with kids and have no other income what so ever he also went to the advice shop and they told him nothing they can do as they consider the other property which is the land as an investment ,i am not sure why when the other property bought Solly by his own home equity ,now how can he live him and his wife and 2 kids with income also he will loose his own home as he can’t afford to pay the mortgage,any help will be great ,thank
