Open Question: Will begging for a job always.........?

Better my chances at getting hired? A relative of mine says I'm not getting hired because I am not persistent enough. I'm being told to be so persistent to the point where I am literally begging for a job until employers get tired of me begging and just give me the job. I am also being advised by this relative that I should show up in person to show interest in these jobs related to my degree. I get that but there is a problem.

The problem is that hardly any jobs I see around my area or outside my area accept applicants applying for work in person. Nowadays employers are doing the online thing. So if employers post instructions on their apply for job web page specifically not to contact them, should I still show up every week begging for the job. Not to mention what would make her think that me begging for a job is going to be any different from all the other qualified people begging for that same job?

See that's the problem right there. There are too many job seekers and not enough positions to be filled by those job seekers. Ok like there may be 100 job seekers and one job opening. Being persistent for all the jobs offers may not always be the answer to getting the job.
