Appeal ... you should NOT be on Contribution based unless you have already been REFUSED 'needs based' (usually because you have savings in excess of £16,000)

NB. Contribution based JSA is only paid if you have (the last) 2 years full NI .. and is paid for a maximum of 6 months anyway .....
